I was indifferent to the English Premier League…until I watched TV one day sometime in 1998 and saw David Beckham on the pitch. I became a fan of Manchester United FC after that.
When he moved to Real Madrid, I became a fan of Real Madrid.
I told myself, ‘stop this nonsense!’ when he moved to LA Galaxy. There is only so much football I can watch for David Beckham.
I’m still a fan though.
