Poem: Bitter.

She’s an
Urban goddess
With a pretty smile,

With a great personality
Cloaked with
Classy style.

You watched her
As she walked by,
Wishing you were bold enough
To say hi.

You loathed your weakness
Towards her eminence,
So you revelled in bitterness,
Spewing hatred.

Telling lies about her
To make you feel superior.

But your features
Grew grotesque,
And you wondered
What could be behind it.

Ugliness will always rise
To the surface.

And as she goes
About her business,
Your bitterness will eat at you
Like flies on a carcass.
